Alpana Adair Enters Mayoral Race with a Commitment to the People of Albuquerque

Campaign Speech preview – Vote Mayor Adair

A Stronger, Safer, and More Prosperous Albuquerque

“My friends, tonight, we stand at a pivotal moment for our city. We can choose to continue down the same road of stalled progress, or we can take a bold step toward a brighter future. I am running for mayor because I believe Albuquerque deserves leadership that solves problems—not one that makes excuses.

I’ve spent my career as a business consultant, tackling tough challenges, cutting through bureaucracy, and delivering real solutions. I’ve worked with Fortune 500 companies and local businesses alike, helping them streamline operations, create jobs, and grow stronger. And if I can fix struggling businesses, I can fix City Hall.

Building a Safer City for Our Families

Every Albuquerque resident deserves to feel safe in their home, in their neighborhood, and in their city. As mayor, I will prioritize public safety by ensuring our first responders have the resources and training they need. I will strengthen partnerships between law enforcement and the community, rebuilding trust and making our streets safer.

But real safety starts before crime even happens. That’s why I’m committed to reducing juvenile crime by investing in our youth—through mentorship programs, parental education, and expanded after-school programs. We will provide our kids with opportunities, not obstacles, and give them a future they can believe in.

Growing Our Economy, Creating More Jobs

A thriving city starts with a strong economy. Right now, small businesses are drowning in red tape, and job growth is stalling. As mayor, I will cut unnecessary regulations, attract new investments, and support local entrepreneurs. When businesses thrive, jobs are created, and our communities grow stronger.

And we can’t have economic growth without a prepared workforce. That’s why I will expand job training and workforce development programs, partnering with local schools and industries to ensure every resident has the skills they need to succeed. Albuquerque’s economy should work for everyone—not just a select few.

Bringing Back Fun, Building a Vibrant City

A great city isn’t just about work—it’s about living. It’s about safe parks, lively streets, and family-friendly events. I want Albuquerque to be a place where people don’t just live but thrive. That’s why I will invest in parks, recreation, and public events that bring our communities together and make Albuquerque a city people are proud to call home.

From expanding fitness programs and community festivals to improving bike trails and walking paths, I will make our city more vibrant, active, and connected. Because when people come together, communities grow stronger.

New Kind of Leadership

My friends, this election is not about me—it’s about us. It’s about whether we want more of the same or real leadership that gets things done. I am not a career politician. I am a problem-solver. I have spent my life fixing what’s broken, finding solutions, and turning challenges into opportunities. And I am ready to do the same for Albuquerque.

So I ask you—if you believe our city deserves better, if you’re ready for a government that works for the people, if you want a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Albuquerque—then join me.

Together, we will rebuild trust.
Together, we will create opportunity.
Together, we will take back our city.

Because Albuquerque’s best days are ahead of us. Together, let’s RAISE THE BAR!
